Here’s How Our Specialized Combination of Very Potent 100% Natural Therapies Work to Bring the Body to Heal Itself

(Each treatment consists of an Acupuncture treatment on both sides of the body combined with additional therapies of Cupping, Gua Sha, and Moxibustion as needed based on each individual’s personal presentation at time of treatment. GENTLE ACUPUNCTURE

CUPPING

Gua Sha is a manual form of therapy that involves applying gentle sustained pressure along the skin with a specialized tool. MOXIBUSTION

Free Initial Consultation

At your free consultation you will talk with the doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine to discuss your case, your medical history, and medications you’re taking, and most importantly YOUR GOALS. Dr. Katrina Giangarra, DACM, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M. wants you to be certain that her treatment protocol is going to meet your needs and that there is a HIGH probability of success for you – BEFORE we move forward to the next step.

Detailed Assessment & Treatment Plan

Once your FREE consultation is complete, and we agree to move forward, your next step is the intake appointment. At this appointment, Dr. Giangarra will do a detailed assessment of your symptom pattern, medical history, and other factors to determine the root cause of your issue and devise a specific plan of attack.

Your first acupuncture session will be performed at this time along with the necessary therapies to support the treatment such as cupping, moxibustion, or gua sha. You will be given a treatment plan with exact, easy-to-follow instructions. Your treatment plan will include dietary and lifestyle adjustments as well as key herbal formulas to address the root of YOUR health problems.

Active Treatment & Symptom Resolution

You’ll return for weekly visits to ensure close support as you begin to feel the positive effects of the therapy targeting towards relieving pain and strengthening your body’s natural healing mechanisms to combat your joint pain. We want to make sure your treatment plan is yielding expected results.

Transitional Care as Things Stabilize

Once we see stable improvements, we will begin to reduce the frequency of visits. This usually occurs after about 8-12 visits. Initially you’ll come every other week, then once a month for a couple visits, then you will no longer need regular treatments.

We’ll be here in case you ever want to come in for a tune-up or to address other concerns.

Of course, MANY of our patients do wish to continue with “ongoing maintenance” and we are happy to work that out with you, should that be your wish.
