Here’s How Our Specialized Combination of Very Potent 100% Natural Therapies Work to Bring the Body to Heal Itself & Rejuvenate the Skin
Each treatment consists of Microneedling and/or Nanoneedling combined with additional therapies of Acupuncture, LED Light Therapy, and Herbal Formulas as needed based on each individual’s personal presentation at time of treatment.
Hyaluronic Acid and a Customized Serum Blend are used with the microneedling/nanoneedling treatment followed by a serum infused mask with aloe to soothe the skin.
Herbal therapies along with relaxation and stress reduction techniques are also implemented according to a person’s needs. Each person receives their own personalized treatment plan.

MICRONEEDLING
A microneedle pen utilizes extremely fine, sterile needles that penetrate the skin and stimulate collagen and elastin production without permanent injury to the skin. Each needle cartridge is sterile and single use. It can increase serum absorption by 1000%. Microneedling can improve skin texture and color, reduce wrinkles, diminish acne scars, and dramatically enhance effectiveness of skincare products. Microneedling promotes natural production of collagen and elastin fibers responsible for skin structure and elasticity by harnessing the healing power of the body. As we age, these fibers break down causing wrinkles and sagging. Microneedling can be done once a month, taking up to four to six treatments to see results that can last up to five years.
NANONEEDLING
The same pen used for microneedling is used for nanoneedling but with a nanoneedle cartridge that is sterile and single use as well. The nanoneedles are very fine, small going to a depth of 0.15 mm. Nanoneedling can be used on the entire face including the lips and around the eyes. Nanoneedling enhances serum absorption by 97%. It is less invasive than microneedling, can be performed up to twice a week, produces less redness, & has zero downtime. Nanoneedling allows for products to be absorbed better and will give you a more instant glow.

LED LIGHT THERAPY
LED light therapy includes red light therapy. Our LED spectral light therapy device emits red, yellow, and blue light, which are all part of the visible light spectrum. There is no UV light emitted.
Each color of light penetrates at different depths with different health benefits. Blue light is the most superficial and helps to kill bacteria, promotes cell activation, helps with injury recovery, treats acne, and sterilizes the skin. Yellow light penetrates deeper and improves cell oxygenation utilization, promotes circulation, helps with red spots and red face, and removes pigments. Red light is the most penetrating and promotes skin cell regeneration, increases oxygen content in blood, stimulates circulation, improves acne, promotes wound healing, eases pain, promotes collagen production, and improves wrinkles.
Studies have shown that red light therapy helps with alopecia to regrow hair, protects cells against damage from stress, helps clear acne, rosace, and eczema, enhances fertility, and improves thyroid function.
HYALURONIC ACID
When hyaluronic acid is used in conjunction with microneedling, it can provide several benefits. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body that helps keep the skin hydrated and plump. It has a high water-holding capacity and can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water. This property makes it an excellent hydrating agent and can help improve skin texture, elasticity, and firmness.
SERUMS
The serums used are specifically made to be used with microneedling and nanoneedling.
Specialized serums that may be used in the customized serum blends include Apple Stem Cells (APSTEM), Lumos, Oculus, Senescence75+, Elastin FL+, Collagen XG+, and Rejuv Xue Cao. The customized blends are based on a person’s individual needs for that person’s skin to help achieve optimal results.

Therapies used in treatment are based upon the doctor’s discretion for each patient’s individual needs.
Microneeding/Nanoneedling can be scheduled after an initial assessment and program payment. Microneedling/Nanoneedling sessions are only offered as part of a program because it takes 4-6 monthly treatments to achieve optimal results. Opting out of various therapies or partial treatment of the face or other areas of the body does not affect pricing.
Must use up the program treatments within 12 weeks. Microneedling can only be done once a month. Sessions are by appointments only and subject to availability, so best to schedule appointments in advance within the 12 week program.
Hands or décolletage can be done for an additional fee. Direct access consultation is available Monday through Friday 9am-5pm excluding holidays.

Free Initial Consultation
At your free consultation you will talk with the doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine to discuss your case, your medical history, and medications you’re taking, and most importantly YOUR GOALS. At this assessment, it will be determined if you are eligible for microneedling/nanoneedling treatments and which program is best for your indiviual needs. Dr. Katrina Giangarra, DACM, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M. wants you to be certain that her treatment protocol is going to meet your needs and that there is a HIGH probability of success for you – BEFORE we move forward to the next step.
Detailed Assessment & Treatment Plan
Once your FREE consultation is complete, and we agree to move forward, your first microneedling/nanoneedling session will be performed at this time with the necessary therapies to support the treatment. Photos will be taken to monitor progress between treatments. These pictures are kept private for your file and would NOT be shared without your consent.
A treatment session start with acupuncture and LED red light therapy along with infrared therapy as needed. Numbing cream may be applied to the area being treated to help ensure patient comfort during microneedling. The microneedling or nanoneedling is then performed with hyaluronic acid and the custom serum blend is applied. At the end an aloe and serum infused mask is applied to soothe the skin. The remaining serum blend is yours to take home and use after treatment. You will be given a treatment plan with exact, easy-to-follow instructions. Your treatment plan will include dietary and lifestyle adjustments as well as key herbal formulas to address the root of YOUR constitutional problems and address the visible signs of aging.
Active Treatment & Symptom Resolution
Based on the program you selected you will either come monthly or weekly. The follow-up visits within the program time frame ensure close support as you begin to feel the positive effects of the therapy targeting towards strengthening your body’s natural healing mechanisms to combat the adverse effects of aging skin. We want to make sure your treatment plan is yielding expected results:

Transitional Care as Things Stabilize
Once a program is completed you may continue with another microneedling/nanoneedling program. A new program should start within 8 weeks of the end time of the previous program to ensure optimal results. We’ll be here in case you ever want to come in for a tune-up or to address other concerns.
Of course, MANY of our patients do wish to continue with “ongoing maintenance” and we are happy to work that out with you, should that be your wish.

Common Questions & Answers
Does it hurt?
Nanoneedling is pain free and can be performed weekly. Most microneedling only needs to be done at a depth of 0.5mm, so it tends not to be painful. Some people can be more sensitive and certain areas treated can be more sensitive. When microneedling is done at deeper depths, such as when addressing deeper wrinkles or dark spots, it can be uncomfortable. Numbing cream can be applied prior to microneedling to minimize discomfort. Afterwards, it may feel like a mild sunburn. A soothing aloe and serum infused mask is applied to the treated area at the end to help alleviate any discomfort after treatment.
Will I have to keep coming forever?
Microneedling treatments can produce significant results when done once a month at least 4-6 times. The addition of acupuncture, LED red light therapy, and herbal medicine help to achieve optimal results along with maintaining recommended lifestyle choice, Results can last up to 2-5 years. Many people opt to continue with acupuncture treatments as they enjoy their sessions and multiple benefits they receive. Continuing with acupuncture maintenance treatments can help to support one’s health that can affect the skin’s appearance. Some people opt to continue with regular nanoneedling treatments to nourish their skin and/or additional microneedling treatments to further prolong results.
Will I have to spend a lot of time coming in for treatments?
Number and frequency of treatments is based on the Radiant Aging Program selected. Microneedling can only be done once a month, so not much time is needed. Nanoneedling can be done twice a week. Acupuncture treatments can be done weekly. Most of our patients achieve great results with our Radiant Aging Programs and following personal care guidelines. We can discuss this in more detail at your free consultation.
Is natural medicine REALLY powerful enough to resolve the problems of aging skin?
Absolutely. Microneedling works by harnessing the healing power of your body. Natural medicine actually helps your body make more of its own medicine, which is more powerful and potent than any man-made medicine. The skin is a reflection of one’s health. Our proprietary combination of therapies help create optimal results, which look more natural.
How long does it take to see results?
Optimal results can take up to 4-6 months. People often start seeing some changes in their skin in about 3-4 weeks after the first microneedling session. With in a few days after the first microneedling session, skin can feel more resfreshed.
What are my chances of success?
Results vary, of course. That being said, the majority of patients report improvement in severity of their wrinkles and dull skin tone associated with aging. However, your situation is unique and once we meet with you, we will be able to give you our best estimate of time and prognosis of outcome.
